Nova Scotia

Authority: Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency · Phone: 902-424-5651

Nova Scotia publishes its enforcement teeth plainly: working in a compulsory certified trade unqualified can bring a stop-work order, a summary offence ticket, or fines up to $5,000 for a first offence and $10,000 for a second. It also allows a temporary permit as a fourth route to compliance, which is useful for newcomers.
